EZ Cater called to let me know they had forgotten to include our coffee and that the driver was unable to return to pick it up. This put us in a difficult situation, as I had to leave and purchase coffee elsewhere, which took about 20 minutes from start to finish. While I was out, one of my coworkers called to let me know that the coffee had actually been delivered with the order after all. The entire situation created unnecessary stress and chaos at the start of our day. Additionally, the coffee accompaniments—including the creamers, sweeteners, and stir sticks—were all tossed together into a single plastic bag. It was disorganized, messy, and did not present well for our guests.
