Carolyn's is always solid, today was a slight & rare let down. Getting the negatives out of the way, they forgot the fruit tray which is always a bummer, but more impactful when it was also one of the few things I ordered at the request of the vegetarians and vegan. Add in that the steak kabobs were ridiculously overcooked to show leather, and I'm disappointed. Maybe cook less for catering when sealed in plastic wrap and then foil, but they were borderline inedible and wouldn't even slide off the skewer. Now...that 7 layer dip is one of my faves. I can eat that as a meal, but I'm weird - to me it's the equivalent of eating something like a taco salad and has all food groups in perfect ratio. The rice and veggies to go with the shoe leather steak were also cooked to perfection; fluffy yellow rice and tasty veggies. I'm not willing to give up on them, everyone gets to have bad days, but for $50 delivery plus a driver tip, you don't get to make many.
