As a Relish by ezCater user, you’re no stranger to the ease of ordering lunch right from your desk — and your colleagues love picking their own meals every week. Whether you’re a seasoned Relish admin or new to managing your team’s meals, we’re here to help you make the most of all the benefits available.
Because we’re always on the lookout for ways to make your ordering experience even better, we’re excited to introduce four new self-service features for Relish, designed to give you more control and flexibility over your lunch program.
1. Flexibility at your fingertips: modify a meal with ease
Plans change, and we understand that. Now, you can cancel a meal right from the Relish platform, giving you the flexibility to adjust orders on your own schedule without needing to contact us. With this new feature, you can save time and streamline order management, making adjustments whenever needed.
Here’s how you can cancel a Relish meal delivery for a specific day and location.
Keep in mind that cancellations need to be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the delivery day.
Canceling a meal in weekly calendar view
- Under “Schedule,” choose a weekly or monthly view of your Relish schedule.
- In weekly view mode, select the day, location, and meal type (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) you want to cancel, and click the “more options” icon.
- Under the drop-down menu, choose “Cancel Relish.” A pop-up will appear asking why you need to cancel. Select your reason for cancellation and click “Submit.”
Canceling a meal in monthly calendar view
- In monthly view mode, select the day of the Relish delivery you want to cancel. Your Relish schedule for each location will appear on the right. Choose the location you need to cancel and click “Cancel Relish.”
- On the right, select which meal or meals you need to cancel. You’ll also be asked to give your reason for cancellation. Select your reason and click “Submit.” A message will confirm your cancellation.
2. Avoid unwanted deliveries by flagging office closures
Avoid unnecessary Relish deliveries by flagging office closures in advance. Whether your office will be closed for a holiday, a company event, or for something completely unexpected, you can now easily update your schedule. Instead of filling out a form or reaching out to your account manager, simply submit the closure through the portal to save time and reduce back-and-forth emails.
Manage office closures by going to the “Settings” tab and selecting the holidays when your offices will be closed. This ensures that Relish deliveries are automatically suspended on those days. By default, major holidays are marked as closed, with the toggle switched on. If your offices remain open, and you’d like Relish delivered, simply switch the toggle off.
Please note that any changes made less than 48 hours before a holiday will not apply for the current year but will be reflected going forward.
3. Switch it up: request a restaurant change
We carefully curate your restaurant lineup based on your preferences, but we understand that sometimes you want more control over the options. If your team is craving something new, or if you simply want to explore different cuisines, you can easily request a different restaurant. Here’s how.
Request a restaurant change
- Under the “Schedule” tab in your Relish admin portal, select the day that you’d like to change. Then, select the location and meal that you’d like to adjust.
- Choose the restaurants you’d like removed, and click “Continue.”
- Select a reason for the change, and click “Submit request.”
- Once your request is submitted, an orange tab will appear on the calendar day indicating a pending change. You can expect to hear from your account manager within 24 to 48 hours to discuss your change request.
4. Unexpected guest? Request an ad-hoc meal
Need to order a meal on short notice? No problem. Whether you have an unexpected guest or a last-minute meeting, you can easily add a meal delivery in the admin portal whenever you need it. Follow these steps to schedule an additional Relish day outside your regular weekly plan.
Request an ad-hoc meal
- Under the “Schedule” tab in your admin portal, select the day you’d like to add, and then click “Add a meal.”
- Choose the meals you’d like to add and type in your estimated head count.
- Review the details of your Relish day, and submit your request.
- The requested calendar day will have an orange tab showing there’s a pending request.
- After clicking “Done,” you’ll see that the meal request is pending in the right side panel.
