Off-premises can provide a tremendous lift to restaurant sales. According to Technomic’s 2019 report, the catering market rose to nearly $65 billion. And more than a third of that revenue, over $25 billion, went to business catering (B2B). These numbers are only going to get bigger in time.
But there are so many moving parts to launching a successful catering operation that it can be difficult to tackle alone. El Fenix, part of Local Favorite Restaurants along with brands like Village Burger Bar, based in Dallas, partnered with ezCater to grow their catering sales.
Sara Wilson, Director of Catering Sales for Local Favorite Restaurants, calls ezCater an “amazing driver” for the company’s off-premises growth. After seeing a sharp rise in El Fenix’s weekly catering sales, Local Favorite Restaurants expanded the partnership to its other brands, across 40 locations.
“ezCater is such a large partner of ours that they stand out in my mind as the best partner,” Wilson says.
